Job Description
1Password makes password management and identity security software. The posting reports annual recurring revenue above $400 million and says more than 180,000 businesses rely on its products to secure sign-ins to software and AI tools. This Senior Manager role runs the Implementations and Onboarding group, which converts the promises made during a sale into a launch plan and helps customers use the full product suite well.
The job combines managing managers with setting technical delivery standards and staying close to hard deployments. The manager works as a player-coach, personally supporting difficult rollouts and helping the team through technical obstacles. Ownership extends to team strategy, quality expectations and capacity planning. The manager is also the final internal stop for high-stakes customer problems.
Much of the role is cross-team. The manager coordinates with product, support, sales and customer success leaders so that clients receive consistent, expert technical guidance. Reporting covers customer health, adoption patterns and risk for leadership, and the manager defines success measures and routines for the onboarding staff.
The listing describes a remote position open to people in the United States and Canada. The US base range is USD 139,000 to 202,000 a year, and the Canadian range is CAD 131,000 to 190,000. Both versions are commission-eligible and include equity, with benefits starting immediately.

- Personally support complex rollouts and help the team clear technical blockers.
- Act as the senior escalation point for high-risk or high-profile customer situations.
- Write engagement models, playbooks and success measures for deployments and onboarding.
- Brief leadership on customer health, adoption patterns and risks, and recommend investments.
Requirements
- Eight or more years in software roles after the sale, such as rollout, professional services or solutions engineering.
- Four or more years of people management, including managing managers or several different technical functions.
- Experience leading individual contributor engineers as well as specialists such as professional services staff or technical account managers.
- A record of serving customers in complicated, security-minded technical environments.
- Working knowledge of single sign-on, SCIM, directory services such as AD, Okta and Azure AD, APIs, command-line tools and SaaS architectures.
- Ability to diagnose integration, API and automation problems.
Qualifications
- Hands-on use of 1Password or another password manager, listed as a bonus.
- Background in security, identity or IT administration, which the posting says is strongly preferred.
