In this position, the professional will spearhead the growth of Coinbase Advanced derivatives across Europe, the UAE, and the MENA region by cultivating relationships with professional traders. The role entails taking ownership of the regional client acquisition pipeline, executing local sales strategies, and acting as a market ambassador at industry events and conferences. The team oversees market share and revenue for derivatives products such as crypto options, perpetuals, and real-world asset products globally. This opportunity suits experienced sales professionals with a background in derivatives who can independently acquire high-value clients, collaborate cross-functionally with risk and compliance teams, and travel frequently across the designated territories.
Responsibilities
- Manage and expand a network of professional traders throughout the UAE, MENA, and Europe via relationship-led acquisition from origination to account management.
- Execute regional sales strategies to hit targets regarding market penetration, client expansion, and trading volume growth.
- Collaborate cross-functional with Risk, Compliance, and Product departments to adapt perpetual futures, futures, and options products for regional compliance and market needs.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, client meetings, and events in the region to deepen connections and source high-value opportunities.
- Develop and refine CRM workflows, sales processes, and pipeline tracking to boost reporting accuracy and origination efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in derivatives sales, structuring, or trading within crypto, equities, FX, or rates.
- Direct P&L responsibility with a documented history of independently sourcing and closing high-value clients.
- Extensive familiarity with European, UAE, and MENA crypto market dynamics and regulatory frameworks.
- Expertise in options, futures, and perpetual futures alongside existing networks among advanced retail and prosumer clients in the region.
- Experience engaging active and prosumer traders on derivatives platforms while consistently hitting volume or revenue goals.
- Availability to travel regularly throughout Europe, the UAE, and MENA for conferences and client meetings.
- Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, quality, and cost.
