Job Description
Beacon Biosignals works across brain health, from trial design through patient care. Its life sciences arm supplies an at-home EEG platform used in trials for neurological, psychiatric, and sleep conditions, and its diagnostics arm blends EEG with cardiopulmonary readings to support reimbursable sleep and central nervous system assessments. This remote, full-time senior role centers on the React Native applications that patients and clinicians use together with EEG headbands and other wearable devices. Candidates in any part of the US Eastern time zone will be considered, and the company also keeps in-person offices in Boston and New York that staff can use.
The engineer joins a small mobile apps group and owns how the features they build perform, how smooth they feel, how dependable they are, and how well they are monitored. Duties include designing flows for people in clinical trials and patients using at-home diagnostics, bringing capabilities from the native iOS and Android BLE SDKs into the app, and collaborating with the Devices group, platform colleagues, and product designers. The engineer also helps guide the mobile roadmap and technical direction. Early goals include an in-app EEG signal quality check before recording begins, simpler onboarding, compliance tracking for clinical operations, and steadier releases with better crash monitoring in the Expo build pipeline.
Work practices are asynchronous, with a stated focus on a first-rate experience for remote staff.
