SEEK is seeking a full-time Senior Operations Manager to join an entrepreneurial team focused on the SEEK Pass initiative. This on-site role involves guiding cross-functional squads, setting strategic objectives, and helping shape sub-domain ambitions. The person in this position will act as a coach and mentor to foster an inclusive culture, manage resource capacity planning, and lead the recruitment of new operations staff.
The ideal candidate will utilize data-driven insights to optimize operational systems, drive prioritisation, and ensure efficient processes for scoping, launching, and scaling product features. This professional will work closely across multiple teams to maintain high standards, navigate complex and ambiguous situations, and ensure adherence to relevant legal obligations and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a cross-functional leadership group to set direction and objectives for squad teams
- Coach, mentor, and foster an inclusive culture while supporting staff development and growth
- Lead the hiring, onboarding, and capacity planning for operations personnel
- Identify operational improvements and system-level optimisations using data-driven insights
- Manage the methods and processes for testing, launching, scaling, and operationalising new credentials and product features
- Resolve escalations between different teams and ensure effective working practices
- Monitor and maintain compliance with standard operating procedures and applicable laws
Requirements
- Demonstrated background in leading teams, coaching personnel, and building high-performance environments
- Experience with scaling operations and operationalising processes within a start-up setting
- Strong judgement, decision-making capabilities, and the ability to balance multiple priorities
- Customer-centric mindset coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across various functions and influence senior stakeholders
- High attention to detail with a logical, data-driven approach to complex problem-solving
- Basic understanding of fundamental technology concepts
- Ability to complete background checks including police checks and identity verification
Qualifications
- Previous senior leadership or operations management experience inside a start-up with agile software development teams
- Background in defining product or operational requirements, tracking performance, and diagnosing issues
- Relevant university degree
