Job Description
Deliveroo seeks a Senior Product Manager, Trust & Safety, Integrity and Fraud based in London to guide cross-functional efforts protecting consumers, merchants, and couriers. Following Deliveroo joining DoorDash, this position involves uniting European capabilities into a single global platform to stop fraud, abuse, and account takeovers while keeping user experiences seamless.
The role sits within a rapidly growing team tackling complex challenges across a three-sided marketplace. Depending on the specific assignment, the selected candidate will either oversee a vertical fraud squad focused on a specific user group or direct a horizontal platform group building risk engines, data signals intelligence, anomaly detection, identity verification, and compliance tools.
Ideal candidates bring extensive product management experience in complex, ambiguous environments and possess a strong background in shipping AI-enabled or automation-heavy systems. The position requires balancing automated decision-making and machine learning capabilities with human oversight, strict safeguards, and low friction for legitimate platform participants.
Daily work involves setting strategic roadmaps, collaborating closely with engineering, data science, legal, operations, and design teams, translating complex regulatory rules into concrete product specifications, and evaluating model performance against return on investment and business profitability.
Responsibilities
- Define the long-term vision and strategy for vertical fraud squads or horizontal platform fraud teams
- Design systems to prevent, detect, and mitigate fraud, abuse, and manipulation in real-time using artificial intelligence
- Build an AI-driven operations platform that converts marketplace signals into automated decisions, case workflows, and prioritized investigations
- Collaborate with senior leadership, design, engineering, analytics, operations, and data science to execute customer-focused roadmaps
- Translate internal user and customer needs into functional and technical requirements backed by data
- Partner with engineering and data analysis teams to define scopes, prioritize release items, and review technical capabilities
- Establish tracking, monitoring, and evaluation frameworks to generate product insights and long-term performance metrics
- Create business cases and ROI projections, collaborating with finance and business leaders to safeguard overall business profitability
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of product management experience managing complex, cross-functional products from strategy to execution in ambiguous problem spaces
- Experience defining strategic visions and executing roadmaps within a specific product domain
- Demonstrated history of launching AI-enabled or automation-heavy products, maintaining balance between machine decisions and human oversight
- Fluency in modern AI product development, evaluating model quality, and designing human-in-the-loop workflows
- Ability to turn ambiguous regulatory, legal, or policy mandates into practical product features and clear engineering priorities
- Background or strong interest in trust and safety, fraud prevention, privacy, security, data governance, or risk
- Analytical approach to managing risk and ambiguity, framing tradeoffs, and establishing measurable outcomes
- Experience partnering alongside legal, compliance, public policy, security, privacy, operations, data science, design, and engineering teams
- Communication and stakeholder-management skills capable of aligning senior leaders around critical decisions
