GitLab seeks a Senior Professional Services Engineer to join its fully remote team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, helping organizations adopt the intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps successfully through tailored installations, migrations, training, and advisory services. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from single-node setups to large reference architectures, while coordinating with product and engineering units to enhance software features and delivery consistency.

Responsibilities
- Deliver client engagements encompassing installation, migration, training, and advisory services across platform capabilities
- Design and execute deployments from single-node setups to large reference architectures utilizing Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code
- Lead migrations from various source systems to platform SaaS or self-managed environments
- Collaborate with project leaders to refine delivery processes and reduce friction
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to translate customer goals into actionable implementation plans
- Interface with engineering and product units to resolve customer blockers and relay improvement feedback
- Coach and mentor Associate and Intermediate level engineers to foster technical growth and autonomy
- Handle multiple customer projects at once as a primary engineer or oversight lead
Requirements
- Professional background utilizing one or more infrastructure or configuration as code technologies like Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, Chef, or Kubernetes
- Hands-on background with at least two cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure
- Familiarity with utilizing, deploying, or configuring the platform along with a solid grasp of Git and source control operations
- Grounding in security and artificial intelligence technologies
- Background in client-facing technical service delivery
- Capability to manage projects independently and direct peers on complex engagements
- Strong English communication skills for remote, asynchronous collaboration and documentation
