  • Harden configurations against agency security baselines such as DISA STIG, FIPS compliance, and SAML or PIV/CAC authentication.
  • Develop and execute migration plans moving legacy version control systems to GitLab Self-Managed or GitLab Dedicated for Government.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for agency engineering teams and host enablement sessions for government users.
  • Translate regulatory compliance requirements into GitLab settings and supply assessors with requested technical artifacts.
  • Document implementations, build reusable runbooks, identify scope risks early, and relay product feedback to engineering groups.

Requirements

  • Possess an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI), Full Scope Polygraph clearance.
  • Be able to work in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
  • Hold United States citizenship.
  • Bring hands-on background with infrastructure as code software like Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Demonstrate experience utilizing major cloud providers including government regions such as AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or Google Assured Workloads.
  • Show production proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and deploying GitLab features.
  • Have delivery experience within regulated or accredited environments such as federal, defense, financial, or healthcare sectors.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks like FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, CMMC, or DISA STIGs.
  • Prior experience working with GitLab Professional Services, federal systems integrators, or agency delivery teams.
  • Scripting proficiency in Python, Ruby, or Go.
  • Experience utilizing GitLab Dedicated for Government or comparable FedRAMP-authorized SaaS environments.
  • History of contributions to GitLab or other open-source projects.
