Job Description

In this capacity, you will handle hands-on technical execution alongside strong project ownership and communication. Key duties involve delivering installations, handling migrations to SaaS or self-managed environments, providing training, and offering advisory engagements. Projects range from single-node Omnibus setups to large reference architectures utilizing configuration as code and infrastructure as code methodologies.

This position is well-suited for professionals who excel at solving intricate problems, managing multiple concurrent client engagements, and thriving within a remote and asynchronous work culture. You will also serve as a vital link to product and engineering divisions, relaying field insights to refine features and processes.

Responsibilities

Manage and deliver professional services engagements including installation, migration, training, and advisory services for public sector clients
Deploy GitLab across diverse architectures, from single-node setups to large-scale reference designs utilizing infrastructure as code and configuration as code
Lead and execute migrations from multiple source platforms to GitLab SaaS or self-managed environments with minimal operational disruption
Deliver technical guidance across the GitLab feature stack to align with client objectives and operating constraints
Collaborate with project managers and engagement managers to maintain delivery consistency and schedule adherence
Handle multiple customer projects concurrently while balancing client outcomes and billable utilization goals
Mentor fellow engineers by sharing technical expertise and contributing to repeatable delivery frameworks
Interface with product and engineering teams to help clear customer blockers and improve delivery processes based on field feedback

Requirements

Active Secret or TS/SCI security clearance
United States citizenship by law, birth, or naturalization
Professional experience with infrastructure as code or configuration as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, or Chef
Ability to support public sector clients with TS/SCI clearance-related requirements
