Job Description

Pindrop is a cybersecurity company that provides identity verification solutions across voice, video, and digital interactions. The organization is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Capture team in a remote, full-time capacity. In this position, you will design, build, and operate distributed services that form the company's real-time ingestion layer, connecting communication provider platforms into downstream analytics, fraud detection, and authentication engines.

This is a product-engineering role centered around low-latency streaming pipelines, provider integrations, and production reliability rather than machine learning model development. You will handle tasks ranging from architecture and implementation to diagnosing complex distributed systems issues and participating in an on-call rotation. The ideal candidate is an adaptable, accountable owner who possesses strong analytical problem-solving skills and communicates technical concepts clearly.

Pindrop offers a robust compensation and benefits package designed to support flexibility and well-being. Perks include a remote-first work environment, a base pay range between $130,000 and $170,000 USD, Restricted Stock Units for all employees, unlimited paid time off, and generous healthcare plans alongside specialized stipends and family benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and operate distributed Go microservices and media pipelines for low-latency processing and high availability
  • Develop and evolve integrations across protocols and communication technologies such as SIPREC, RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, and enterprise contact center platforms
  • Lead engineering projects from initial technical design and architecture through implementation, testing, deployment, and documentation
  • Troubleshoot complex distributed systems problems using logs, metrics, traces, and system tests to enhance service reliability and capacity
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight via design reviews, code reviews, and architectural choices
  • Collaborate with Product, System Test, Infrastructure, SRE, and analytics teams to ensure seamless data ingestion
  • Take part in a shared on-call rotation following completion of team training and production-readiness onboarding

Requirements

  • At least five years of professional software development experience building and running distributed backend services in production environments
  • Proficiency in Go, Golang, or a similar compiled language alongside strong Linux, Unix, networking, concurrency, and performance tuning skills
  • Practical background with cloud-native architectures on AWS or GCP, containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, and DevOps practices like Terraform, CDK, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Demonstrated track record of diagnosing and resolving complex distributed systems problems, including experience with on-call production support

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with real-time communication protocols and streaming frameworks such as SIPREC, VoIP, SIP, RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, FFmpeg, and GStreamer
  • Experience integrating with meeting, telephony, CPaaS, or contact-center platforms like Amazon Connect, Genesys, Zoom, Teams, and Webex
  • Background with event-driven messaging systems including Apache Kafka or MSK, distributed caching, and service-to-service API design in REST or gRPC
  • Knowledge of observability tooling like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry, alongside security best practices in compliance-sensitive cloud settings

Core Skills

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package that includes Restricted Stock Units for all employees
  • Remote-first environment with flexibility, autonomy, and regular team on-sites or company events
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off
  • Generous health and welfare plans featuring an employer-paid employee-only option
  • Health Savings Account employer contribution
  • Low-cost vision and dental plans for employees and families
  • Paid parental leave for birth, adoptive, and foster parents
  • One year of diaper delivery for new additions to the family
  • Recurring monthly phone and internet allowance
  • Enhanced fertility and GLP-1 benefits
  • Annual learning and development stipend for professional growth
