Job Description

Pindrop is hiring a Software Engineer to join its Authentication team on a remote basis. As a cybersecurity company, Pindrop focuses on delivering identity verification and continuous trust solutions across voice, video, and digital channels for large enterprises such as financial institutions and healthcare organizations. In this individual contributor role, you will help build, scale, and operate cloud-based services and infrastructure for the Passport platform as it migrates to the cloud. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional groups including software engineers, research teams, product managers, and test engineers to design robust microservices and workflows.

This opportunity is well-suited for a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, remote-first environment and enjoys tackling technical challenges related to distributed systems. Daily responsibilities include developing production-ready applications, conducting code reviews, implementing observability practices, and participating in an on-call rotation. Responsibilities

  • Design, test, and maintain cloud services supporting authentication systems
  • Build applications primarily using Go and Python
  • Operate cloud-native services across AWS and GCP infrastructure
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver new platform capabilities
  • Participate in code and design reviews to uphold system quality
  • Troubleshoot production issues and enhance system observability and alerting
  • Join the team on-call rotation to help cover alerts

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of software engineering experience
  • Expertise in the Golang programming language
  • Experience working within cloud computing environments such as AWS or GCP
  • Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and concurrency
  • Knowledge of data storage technologies like Redis and MySQL
  • Familiarity with container tools including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of Linux and Unix system internals

Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS managed services such as S3, ElastiCache, and DynamoDB
  • Background in building microservices and RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GIT, Jenkins, and Spinnaker
  • Experience utilizing infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK
  • Prior coding experience with Python
