The organization currently seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend (Platform - Identity) to join its Identity Horizontal team within the Platform group on a full-time basis. In this position, the professional will manage client-facing interfaces that every user encounters first, including login, registration, OAuth, account protection, and multi-factor authentication.
This role suits an experienced engineer who enjoys tackling complex architectural decisions, balancing native and webview strategies, and guiding technical discussions. The person in this position will establish the appropriate level of assurance for every user profile, allowing product teams to release features rapidly while neutralizing security threats and meeting regulatory standards.
While the position operates remotely, staff members participate in periodic in-person collaborative sessions referred to as surges. Candidates should expect an intense work environment focused on continuous delivery and engineering excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage frontend projects from the design documentation stage through implementation, launch, and monitoring for login, signup, OAuth, account security, and multi-user or multi-organization features.
- Draft and review technical design specifications, translating ambiguous or intricate goals into clear plans.
- Guide the architecture strategy regarding native versus webview usage for authentication surfaces, balancing trade-offs in speed, reliability, and usability.
- Find and fix technical debt and code quality issues across the broader codebase rather than just individual assignments.
- Oversee team routines such as on-call duties, code reviews, and incident handling while coaching junior team members on frontend standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of production frontend software engineering background utilizing React and TypeScript.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage end-to-end delivery of complex and ambiguous projects.
- Authored and directed technical design documentation through cross-functional peer review and execution for at least two to three major initiatives.
- Proven track record of finding and eliminating systemic technical debt to improve system reliability or developer productivity.
- Past involvement in mentoring engineers and directing team processes like on-call rotations, code reviews, and incident responses.
- Ability to apply generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, quality, and cost.
