Abnormal AI is seeking a remote Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack - Portal Platform to join its Portal Platform team. The organization builds solutions focused on security, stability, and usability for its customer, end-user, and demonstration portals. This role involves designing and implementing platform-level software initiatives from initial concept to launch, creating backend services and APIs, and developing reusable frontend component libraries and design systems. Responsibilities
- Design and execute platform-level software projects from conception through launch

- Drive frontend performance, accessibility, and quality standards

Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a software engineer with a track record of delivering complex, cross-team projects end-to-end
- Deep expertise in React and modern frontend architecture
- Strong backend proficiency in Python (Django) or TypeScript
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
- Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction through RFCs, architecture decisions, or platform migrations
- Experience mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar through code reviews and documentation
- Strong communication skills for distributed and async environments
- Solid fundamentals in computer science, data structures, and performance optimization
Qualifications
- BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, or a related engineering field
- Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Python, Django, React, and Postgres
- Experience and eagerness to leverage AI development tools
- Experience with large-scale web frontend applications
- Experience with frontend build tools
- Experience with micro-frontend architecture patterns
