Job Description
ClickUp creates an AI-driven workspace that brings together tasks, calendars, documents, chat, and search into a single platform. The organization operates as an AI-native company, requiring all team members to use artificial intelligence in their daily workflows. The Foundry serves as the internal AI innovation division within GTM Systems, charged with creating production systems that help sales, marketing, post-sales, and revenue operations teams operate more efficiently.
As a Senior Software Engineer for Internally Deployed Products, the individual will take charge of delivering the Model Context Protocol server platform, agent orchestration architecture, and internal applications. The position requires building multi-step autonomous agents, designing LLM integrations, and maintaining cloud infrastructure. This role suits professionals who thrive in ambiguous environments, favor rapid iteration over lengthy planning cycles, and view artificial intelligence assistants as primary engineering partners rather than optional add-ons.
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and manage Model Context Protocol servers to link GTM data sources with artificial intelligence agents
- Implement Okta PKCE authentication protocols and role-based access control policies
- Maintain cloud deployment infrastructure utilizing AWS services including Lambda, Bedrock, ECS, and API Gateway
- Establish system observability through distributed tracing, structured logging, latency service-level objectives, and operational runbooks
- Develop and maintain autonomous multi-step agents for go-to-market workflows such as lead qualification and support triage
- Architect evaluation harnesses, prompt engineering frameworks, and tool-call schemas for predictable agent behavior
- Integrate with large language model providers and maintain version-pinned model configurations
- Deliver internal software applications like web tools, command-line utilities, and chat integrations for non-technical users
- Write Python automation scripts, ETL pipelines, and data transformation layers
- Collaborate with internal teams on API standards, data contracts, and integration patterns
- Perform code reviews, set engineering benchmarks, and mentor junior team members
- Utilize AI coding assistants as primary accelerators to maximize personal development throughput
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of professional software engineering experience working on production systems
- Expert proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js for typed, testable server-side development
- Strong Python capability for scripting, data pipelines, and artificial intelligence tooling
- Practical AWS deployment background involving Lambda, Bedrock, ECS or Fargate, API Gateway, IAM, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch
- Demonstrated history of integrating with large language model APIs and deploying AI capabilities to end users
- Grounded knowledge in REST API design, OAuth 2.0 or OIDC authentication, and secure credential handling
- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, CDK, or SAM, and cloud cost management
- Clear written communication skills demonstrated through design documents, architectural decision records, and operational runbooks
- Proven track record of employing AI tools as productivity multipliers
Qualifications
- Hands-on background with the Model Context Protocol, including building servers or managing multi-server agent ecosystems
- Google Cloud Platform knowledge with services like Cloud Run, BigQuery, or Cloud Functions
- Experience integrating CRM application programming interfaces such as Salesforce or HubSpot
- Front-end development capability using React or Next.js to construct internal dashboards
- Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks like LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI
- Background working within go-to-market systems, revenue operations, or sales engineering settings
- Identity provider integration expertise covering PKCE flows, SCIM, and token management
