Job Description
Hims & Hers, a publicly traded wellness platform, is recruiting a Senior Tax Accountant for its EMEA tax function. The business is building out its Global Tax team across the region. The accountant supports the Tax Manager, EMEA with provisioning, compliance and audit matters, reporting to that manager.
Much of the work involves reviewing quarterly and annual provisions prepared under US GAAP and local statutory requirements. The accountant also helps prepare income tax, value-added tax and withholding returns across several EMEA countries alongside external advisers. Routine duties include drafting tax reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and preparing supporting schedules for review, plus tracking filing dates and adviser deliverables so nothing misses its deadline.
The role further involves coordinating with local finance groups and auditors to answer tax questions and assist with statutory and tax audits. Additional projects cover transfer pricing paperwork, entity restructuring, a review of recent regional legislation and what it means for the business, and occasional one-off or process-improvement tasks.
Applicants need a degree in accounting, finance or taxation and at least three years in corporate tax, ideally with time at a large accounting firm or a global company. A recognized tax, accounting or finance qualification such as ACA or ACCA is preferred. Strong knowledge of EMEA income tax, VAT and withholding compliance is required, while familiarity with ASC 740 would be an asset.
Careful organization, precision, clear communication and the ability to juggle several deadlines while working with finance colleagues and outside advisers across jurisdictions are key to success.
