EDB is currently seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager to join the team in the US. In this role, you will be responsible for managing post-sales relationships with some of the organization's largest and most complex accounts, particularly those adopting Postgres and artificial intelligence solutions. EDB provides a data and AI platform designed to help organizations utilize Postgres for analytical, transactional, and AI workloads across various cloud environments. Serving over 1,500 clients globally, the company supports major financial services, government organizations, media corporations, and IT enterprises in modernizing legacy systems and replacing data silos with enterprise-grade open-source technology.
As a Senior Technical Account Manager, you will act as the primary technical contact and trusted advisor to the customer's senior leadership team. You will help clients maximize their investments, provide technical guidance for major initiatives, and assist with architectural solutions, troubleshooting, and project management. The position also requires gathering product feedback, documenting deployment best practices, and traveling up to 25% of the time. Responsibilities
- Establish close working relationships with senior technical leadership at client organizations to serve as a trusted advisor
- Help customers maximize the value of their Postgres investment and develop deployment strategies
- Deliver technical leadership for major Postgres initiatives including architecture guidance, solutions consulting, and project management
- Maintain functional and technical knowledge of the entire EDB product line
- Provide constructive product feedback to internal product management teams based on customer needs
- Document best practices for developing and deploying EDB solutions
- Act as a front-line resource for informal customer inquiries and best practices
- Travel up to 25% of the working time as needed
Requirements
- At least six years of hands-on experience working with Postgres, Oracle, DB2, or MS SQL Server
- Advanced technical skills encompassing data management platforms, operating systems, cloud technologies, and technical architecture
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and data analytics
- Experience working with Kubernetes
- Strong analytical skills focused on technical and project management issues
- Familiarity with the strategic sales process
- Solid organizational skills with the capability to handle competing client demands
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, including comfort interacting with CxO level personnel
Qualifications
- Professional certifications in relational databases
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, equivalent technical training, or related industry experience
