Fivetran is seeking a remote Senior Technical Instructor to join its training division. Operating alongside dbt Labs, Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement and transformation, providing a trusted foundation for analytics and artificial intelligence. In this role, the instructor will onboard enterprise clients, partners, and global system integrators, enabling data developers to maximize the value of their tools.
This position is ideal for an experienced educator with a background in data analytics, or a data professional with a passion for teaching. The instructor will deliver live educational sessions across various formats, ranging from small cohorts to large webinars, initially on Zoom with the possibility of in-person instruction later. Responsibilities include demonstrating concepts, guiding co-development workshops, adapting teaching methods dynamically, and gathering student feedback to enhance the curriculum.

Responsibilities
- Conduct live training sessions for customers, partners, and global system integrators in groups ranging from small teams to large webinars
- Establish an interactive educational environment on virtual platforms and potentially in person
- Demonstrate modern data stack concepts and dbt features clearly to learners
- Lead live co-development workshops where students apply newly acquired skills
- Adapt teaching techniques dynamically to match diverse student skill sets and backgrounds
- Gather and channel classroom feedback to drive curriculum improvements
- Contribute to curriculum design and workflow enhancement projects
Requirements
- Bring at least four years of teaching experience combined with data analytics exposure, or four years of data analytics experience combined with teaching background
- Demonstrate practical experience writing SQL within an analytics setting
- Communicate effectively with internal and external participants
- Collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced setting
Qualifications
- Past work history on customer education or training teams
- Direct experience utilizing or teaching dbt
- Proficiency in writing analytics programming languages such as Python or R alongside SQL
- Experience working with databases
- Curriculum design background utilizing backwards design principles
