The person in this role will collaborate closely with product management to interpret requirements, taking full ownership of tasks from initial design through to deployment. Responsibilities include engineering extensible application programming interfaces, building accessible and performant user interfaces that function seamlessly across mobile, web, and workspace environments, and troubleshooting complex defects across server, client, and platform layers.

Responsibilities
- Develop and release artificial intelligence-driven features designed for usability and customer value
- Write clean, scalable, and reusable code following standard engineering practices
- Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and maintain automated test coverage for release stability
- Partner with product owners to analyze detailed project requirements
- Manage tasks from initial architecture and implementation through test automation and final delivery
- Engineer software and application programming interfaces that allow customer customization
- Construct accessible, high-performing user interfaces across web, workspace, and mobile platforms
- Identify and fix client, server, and platform layer defects reported by customers
- Contribute to the creation of new offerings and the enhancement of existing product portfolios
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of professional experience using Java or an alternative object-oriented language
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript
- Familiarity with modern user interface frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and design patterns
- Experience with performance, scale considerations, and building or consuming REST application programming interfaces
- Familiarity with test automation, web accessibility principles, and a strong quality mindset
- Competency with everyday engineering utilities including integrated development environments, debuggers, build systems, source control, Unix tools, and profilers
Qualifications
- Prior exposure to generative artificial intelligence or large language model capabilities involving prompting, grounding, and evaluating output quality
