The company is hiring a Software Engineer II, Backend (Decisions Orchestration) to join its remote team and help construct next-generation checkout capabilities.

In this position, you will build financial features that bring greater flexibility and accessibility to users by designing and implementing microservice interfaces and APIs. You will collaborate with technical leaders and cross-functional peers to address open-ended challenges, manage checkout components, and elevate system reliability and performance.

Total compensation includes equity rewards, monthly stipends for technology, health, and wellness, and comprehensive insurance coverage. The yearly base salary varies by geographic region, with California, Washington, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut ranging from $165,000 to $225,000, and all other U.S. states ranging from $146,000 to $206,000.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement forward-looking solutions alongside technical leaders to resolve broad, open-ended challenges
  • Maintain ownership of checkout system components to safeguard their long-term health and the stability of surrounding architecture
  • Partner with engineering colleagues internally and across the organization to develop a modern checkout platform
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering tooling, standards, and processes

  • Take ownership by partnering with product and engineering leaders to establish project definitions and drive technical choices
  • Execute software development tasks by building, testing, and releasing quality software at scale
