Pinterest seeks a Software Engineer II to join the Monetization Engineering teams within EPD Ads. Pinterest operates a visual discovery platform dedicated to helping people find creative ideas, plan projects, and discover inspiration. In this position, the engineer will build full-stack capabilities, design robust frameworks, and collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineering colleagues to launch new features. The role suits professionals experienced in building consumer or business applications who enjoy solving complex technical problems and driving initiatives from initial design through release.
The position is open to applicants based in the Bay Area, Seattle, or New York City, and requires working in the office 1-2 times per month for collaboration. Responsibilities
- Develop full-stack features oriented toward users to support the platform's future inspiration tools
- Own all stages of the product lifecycle from ideation and rapid prototyping to running A/B tests and scaling solutions for millions of users
- Collaborate with design, product, and backend groups to deliver end-to-end functionality
- Propose new product concepts and features from a user perspective
- Implement automated testing to maintain high technical quality standards across developed components
- Initiate and drive new projects from inception through technical design, implementation, and release
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional industry experience in full-stack or backend development creating consumer or business-facing products
- Proficiency in standard frontend and backend technology stacks such as Javascript, React, APIs, storage, caching, and data processing
- Fostering best practices for writing reliable and maintainable code shared by multiple engineers
- Ability to stay informed on emerging technologies
- Strong collaboration and communication capabilities
- Must be able to work in the office 1-2 times per month and be situated in the Bay Area, Seattle, or New York City
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
