The organization is seeking a Sr. Staff Product Manager for Ads Quality Ranking to join the Ads Quality group. This team helps users transition from finding inspiration to taking action by delivering relevant advertisements at appropriate moments.
In this capacity, the professional will shape strategic visions, build prioritization backlogs, and manage features within back-end delivery mechanisms including retrieval, ranking, budgeting, and bidding components. The position involves close daily cooperation with engineering, machine learning, data science, design, and research departments to release high-quality features and monitor performance outcomes.
This role is suited for product management professionals who possess deep familiarity with online marketplaces, backend ads infrastructure, and cross-functional leadership. Candidates must be capable of operating within commuting distance of either the San Francisco or Seattle offices, as the position requires in-person collaboration one to two times each quarter.
Responsibilities
- Own product visions and develop business requirements documents and product requirement documents featuring user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain prioritized roadmaps and requirement backlogs while tracking statuses from discovery through general availability.
- Coordinate adjustments to back-end advertising delivery systems such as ranking, retrieval, budgeting, and quality guardrails.
- Partner daily with engineering, machine learning, analytics, design, and research colleagues to ship robust features.
- Manage dependencies, APIs, and go-to-market strategies with peer product managers across ads quality and front-end surfaces.
- Facilitate roadmap reviews, maintain shared artifacts, and proactively highlight risks and decision points.
- Build tools within advertising bidding and optimization solutions that assist advertisers with objectives and budget alignment.
- Define upfront success metrics, monitor post-launch performance signals, and utilize data insights to iterate on subsequent product cycles.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of working experience as a Product Manager, Engineering Manager, Data Scientist, or in a related capacity.
- Demonstrated capability to evaluate and establish new strategies and back-end products within ambiguous domains from ideation to release.
- Experience working alongside engineering, data, or product marketing management cross-functional teams.
- Deep comprehension of business metrics and trade-off dynamics within online marketplace environments.
- Ability to work from a commutable distance to San Francisco or Seattle for in-person collaboration 1 to 2 times per quarter.
Qualifications
- Experience with advertising marketplaces or advertising formats.
- Direct experience and fundamental understanding relating to advertising delivery systems.
- Ability to design, execute, or analyze marketplace experiments.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
