ServiceNow seeks a Solution Architect for Public Sector India to act as the primary technical leader for the organization's expansion into the Indian public sector. In this role, the professional will transform government digitization initiatives into solution frameworks, competitive tender bids, and proof of concepts, with a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence. The employer serves central ministries, state governments, public sector undertakings, regulators, smart city bodies, and digital public infrastructure programs. Deal environments typically involve long sales cycles, price-sensitive evaluations, and partner-led bidding processes.
The position requires designing architectures that comply with national guidelines, data residency rules, security audits, and MeitY-empanelled cloud requirements. Candidates must navigate government constraints such as hosting, AI governance, and legacy system integration. The ideal candidate brings extensive public sector pre-sales experience and a capacity for executive communication.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales teams on go-to-market strategies for universities, public sector banks, and government ministries
- Lead architecture discussions with National Informatics Centre teams and government chief information officers
- Manage technical proposal responses for tenders and requests for proposals, including compliance matrices and sizing
- Develop and execute demonstrations and proof of concepts involving AI, automation, and workflow integration
- Design solutions adhering to local hosting, data residency, security, and AI governance regulations
- Partner with system integrators on bid strategies, delivery handoffs, and solution scope
- Build reusable assets such as reference architectures, compliance frequently asked questions, and proposal response libraries
- Mentor solution consultants on public sector sales strategies
Requirements
- Eight to ten years of dedicated public sector pre-sales experience within government, public sector undertakings, or system integrators
- Understanding of artificial intelligence fundamentals including large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, data readiness, and responsible AI
- Demonstrated track record of handling tenders, procurement rules, and compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with enterprise workflow or IT service management platforms alongside integration and automation architecture
- Reside in or be willing to relocate to the National Capital Region with regular travel to government offices
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow technologies including Now Assist and AI Agents
- Familiarity with Government e Marketplace, MeitY empanelment, CERT-In, the DPDP Act, and the IndiaAI Mission
- Pre-existing network among government entities and system integrators
