Databricks seeks a Solutions Architect - Manufacturing to function as a primary technical advisor for major accounts. In this remote position, the individual will collaborate closely with Enterprise Account Executives to shape technical strategies, direct machine learning and artificial intelligence adoption, and maximize customer value. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in pre-sales consulting, technical account oversight, and value-focused selling. Daily duties involve creating proofs-of-concept, demonstrating product capabilities, engaging in live coding with stakeholders, and mentoring colleagues. Professionals should be capable of guiding clients through technical transformations and building networks of technical supporters within large global enterprises.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Enterprise Account Executives to establish technical strategies for key accounts
- Drive the adoption and expansion of machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities
- Build proofs-of-concept and showcase product features alongside hands-on client resources
- Serve as the primary technical voice for Databricks across multiple client organizations
- Develop a network of technical champions within client accounts
- Provide structured mentorship and guidance to team members
Requirements
- Experience in pre-sales and helping large enterprises become data-driven
- Background in value selling, technical leadership, and technical account management
- Experience managing very large global accounts exceeding $1m in annual recurring revenue
- Track record of building relationships with internal and external executives and influencers
- Technical proficiency in cloud data warehousing, data engineering, and data science
- Production programming capability in Scala, Python, Java, or R
- Experience conducting live or vibe coding sessions with stakeholders
