In this capacity, the professional will govern the overall technical trajectory for assigned accounts, guiding platform adoption, steering architecture conversations, and operating as a key technical consultant for engineering leads and directors. Duties involve constructing scalable solutions that encompass real-time analytics, machine learning, and data engineering, while driving competitive triumphs through custom implementations and coordinating cross-functional resources.
The position suits individuals possessing extensive background in technical pre-sales, data engineering, or solutions architecture, along with strong programming capabilities in Python and SQL. The compensation range for this role spans from USD 180,000 to 247,500 per year, with total remuneration potentially incorporating equity, annual performance bonuses, and regional benefits.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete technical strategy for assigned accounts spanning discovery, production launch, and consumption expansion
- Lead complex architecture discussions covering real-time analytics, ML/AI, and data engineering
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customer engineering leads, architects, and directors
- Secure technical wins in competitive environments by showcasing customized solutions
- Establish and declare an emerging technical specialization to support team members
- Coordinate cross-functional resources including partners and specialized solution architects
- Provide structured feedback regarding customer needs and competitive gaps to influence product direction
Requirements
- 6 or more years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior technical role
- Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL
- Expertise in distributed data systems architecture including streaming architectures and lakehouse patterns
- Experience with production deployments on public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience
- Databricks certifications such as Data Engineer, Machine Learning, or Platform
- Experience with competitive platforms including Snowflake, Azure Synapse, and AWS native services
- Background working at a cloud provider or data and AI company
- Industry domain expertise in fields such as financial services, healthcare, retail, or media
