Responsibilities
- Manage the complete technical strategy for assigned accounts from discovery to production deployment and consumption growth
- Design production-grade, scalable solutions covering real-time analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data engineering
- Advise customer engineering leads, directors, and architects as a trusted technical consultant
- Win competitive deals by showcasing platform differentiation through customized solutions
- Build and declare an emerging technical domain specialization to support the broader team
- Coordinate partners, specialist solutions architects, and data science specialists to fulfill complex client requirements
- Share structured feedback on customer requirements and competitive market gaps to influence product roadmaps
Requirements
- Six or more years of experience in technical pre-sales, data engineering, solutions architecture, or a senior hands-on technical capacity
- Demonstrated coding proficiency in Python and SQL, including live coding, debugging, and solution-building abilities
- Advanced expertise in distributed data systems architecture such as lakehouse patterns, streaming architectures, and scalable pipelines
- Familiarity with public cloud production deployments across AWS, Azure, or GCP, covering security, governance, and infrastructure
- History of expanding platform consumption and driving user adoption within accounts
- Strong communication capabilities to explain technical architectures to executive and technical audiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Databricks credentials such as Platform, ML, or Data Engineer certifications
- Familiarity with competing solutions including Azure Synapse, AWS native services, or Snowflake
- Professional background within a cloud provider or data and artificial intelligence firm
- Specific industry domain knowledge in retail, healthcare, financial services, media, or related sectors
