As a Sr Advisory Solution Consultant focusing on the Federal defense sector, you will act as a technical authority and key advisor for strategic security offerings involving Risk, Armis, and Veza. This remote position involves collaborating with Department of Defense clients and Federal System Integrators to demonstrate the operational value of ServiceNow security platforms. You will steer sales opportunities from the initial discovery phase through to proof of value, highlighting how AI-driven visibility enhances security postures. This role suits professionals with deep pre-sales experience and a strong background in federal cybersecurity who excel at translating complex technical capabilities into mission advantages.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery sessions to identify federal customer compliance mandates, security challenges, and asset landscapes
- Conduct tailored product demonstrations and technical deep dives showing AI-driven visibility across cloud, IoT, OT, and IT environments
- Design and manage live proof-of-value engagements within federal settings to measure security posture improvements
- Partner with sales counterparts to guide complex opportunities through every milestone from qualification to closing
- Represent the organization as a technical expert at industry events, webinars, trade shows, and executive briefings
- Provide product management with feedback regarding federal requirements, compliance gaps, and market differentiation
- Collaborate with the broader solution consulting team by sharing technical assets, best practices, and use cases
- Keep abreast of competitive positioning, emerging intelligence community threats, federal security trends, and platform updates
Requirements
- At least 5 years of pre-sales solution consulting, solutions architecture, or sales engineering experience
- Background supporting or selling to Federal, DoD, or Federal System Integrator clients
- Familiarity with enterprise cybersecurity solutions, vulnerability management, cloud security, or behavioral threat detection
- Technical familiarity with Linux, cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP, virtualization, and Python scripting
- Understanding of network architecture, endpoint security, and IT, IoT, or OT environments
- Familiarity with federal security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, FedRAMP, CMMC, and STIG
- Availability to travel up to 40% for customer engagements and field support
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
- Prior exposure to artificial intelligence and machine learning in security, agentic automation, or governing AI systems
- An existing Top Secret clearance or the capability to obtain one
