Job Description

This Sr. Financial Analyst is a core member of the finance department and reports to the Senior Manager. The person prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, including board and audit committee packages, investor documents and the financial statements. The job is built around accurate US GAAP results and around resolving technical accounting questions as they come up.

A large share of the work is technical accounting. The analyst writes papers on new standards and unusual transactions for senior managers and outside auditors, and helps roll out revised policies. The posting cites ASC 350-40 and ASC 842 as examples of treatments that need documentation strong enough to survive an audit. The analyst also keeps the Risk Control Matrix current and supports ongoing audit and compliance work.

The employer is looking for someone who spots ways to improve and who is curious about using AI and automation to make finance work faster and more scalable. Helping with month-end close, reconciliations and special initiatives also falls within the role.

The company is a privately held health technology firm that serves more than 30,000 provider organizations. The position is full time and hybrid, with staff expected to live within commuting distance of the office. The listing does not name a city or a salary.
