Elastic is recruiting a Senior Manager to lead finance transformation for its hyperscaler marketplace business. The position is full-time, on-site and located in the United States. The manager works where teams from accounting leadership, sales operations and product engineering overlap, shaping the financial systems and operating processes that support marketplace sales.
The manager plans and builds the workflows that connect AWS, GCP and Azure marketplace portals with core finance systems, including NetSuite, Salesforce and Zuora. Automating marketplace transactions such as private offers and custom metering is part of the mandate, as is integrating marketplace management platforms with finance tools. The aim is to optimize quote-to-cash and revenue recognition as private offers and co-sell activity expand.
Accounting rigor is central to the role. The manager defines how deferred revenue, gross-versus-net revenue and ASC 606 compliance apply to marketplace deductions and listing fees. Transaction-level reconciliations match hyperscaler payouts and remittance advice to internal contracts, and the manager keeps the data model and reporting feeds for marketplace transactions accurate.
Leading the launch of new capabilities is also part of the job. The manager guides finance, accounting and partner operations through new marketplace offerings, runs user acceptance testing and documents procedures. Strong experience in accounting operations or financial systems, direct marketplace billing experience, and SQL or business intelligence fluency are the core qualifications sought.
Responsibilities
- Plan and build workflows connecting hyperscaler marketplace portals with core finance systems
- Automate marketplace transactions such as private offers and custom metering
- Integrate marketplace management platforms with finance tools
- Maintain the financial data model and reliable reporting feeds for marketplace transactions
- Define standards for deferred revenue, gross-versus-net revenue and ASC 606 compliance
- Build transaction-level reconciliations of payouts and remittance advice
- Guide finance and partner operations teams through marketplace launches, including UAT and SOPs
Requirements
- Background in accounting operations or financial systems, or in management consulting for technology companies
- Direct experience managing financial operations or billing reconciliation for apps sold through major cloud marketplaces
- Experience leading software integrations or quote-to-cash transformation in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology
- Familiarity with cloud partner portals and marketplace middleware
- Knowledge of ERP systems and revenue recognition systems
- SQL or business intelligence skills for working with unstructured billing data
