Elastic is seeking a Senior Manager for Finance Transformation in its cloud and marketplace business, based in the United States. The job is full-time and on-site. The role bridges finance leadership, sales operations and product engineering, and shapes the finance systems that support deals sold through hyperscaler marketplaces.
The manager works to sharpen quote-to-cash and revenue recognition as private offers and co-sell deals grow on AWS, GCP and Azure marketplaces. Duties include building dependable connections between hyperscaler portals and finance platforms such as NetSuite, Salesforce and Zuora, and automating intricate marketplace deals such as private offers and metered custom pricing.
Accounting standards are part of the work. The manager sets rules for deferred revenue, gross versus net treatment and ASC 606 compliance on marketplace fees and deductions, and builds transaction-level matching that compares hyperscaler payouts with internal contract terms. Ownership of the marketplace data model and the pipelines feeding reports rests here as well.
Program leadership also falls to the manager, who guides acceptance testing and writes operating procedures when new marketplace capabilities go live. A strong candidate brings deep accounting operations or systems experience, direct cloud marketplace billing knowledge, and working skill with SQL or BI tools.
Responsibilities
- Create workflows that tie hyperscaler portals to NetSuite, Salesforce and Zuora
- Script finance automation for private offers (CPPO/MPPO) and metered custom billing
- Link hyperscaler APIs and marketplace platforms to core finance systems
- Maintain the marketplace data model and dependable loading of billing data into reporting
- Establish rules for deferred revenue, gross-versus-net accounting and ASC 606 treatment
- Build transaction-level matching and keep listing-fee tracking accurate
- Prepare finance and accounting staff for launches, including acceptance testing and procedures
Requirements
- A long, step-by-step career in accounting operations, finance systems or management consulting for tech firms
- Five-plus years directly running finance operations, billing setup or billing reconciliation for software sold via AWS, GCP or Azure Marketplaces
- Proven record leading major software integrations or quote-to-cash overhauls at B2B software or enterprise technology companies
- Practical command of partner portals and marketplace monetization middleware
- Advanced working knowledge of ERP and revenue recognition software
- Solid SQL or BI skills for cleaning up messy billing data
