BeyondTrust is hiring a remote Sr Software Development Engineer to join the Platform Core Services group. The organization specializes in identity security solutions that protect over 20,000 corporate clients globally by defending against external and internal threats. In this position, the professional will focus on building and maintaining core foundational capabilities such as identity access management, notifications, audit trails, and platform-wide application programming interfaces that serve various product lines. This opportunity involves solving cloud-scale engineering problems, automating cloud infrastructure, and establishing architectural standards for high availability and performance. Candidates will collaborate closely with product managers and fellow engineers to streamline deployment pipelines, reduce technical debt, and ensure operational excellence across distributed microservices.
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and support resilient microservices that power platform-wide features for multiple product groups
- Deploy and configure monitoring and alerting mechanisms utilizing Datadog to maintain operational visibility and manage incident resolutions
- Employ Infrastructure as Code technologies like Terraform and Terragrunt for provisioning and managing cloud environments
- Refine delivery pipelines to elevate system reliability and engineering productivity
- Contribute technical guidance regarding system design, architecture, and engineering standards
- Engage in post-mortems and reliability reviews to drive continuous platform improvement and stability
- Work alongside product teams and engineers to coordinate platform capabilities with business objectives
Requirements
- Demonstrated track record of delivering enterprise-ready cloud systems emphasizing security, performance, and scalability
- Proficiency in at least one programming language including C#, Go, or Java
- Hands-on background with API services, distributed systems, and microservice architectures
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or Terragrunt
- Competency in continuous integration and deployment tooling like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins
- Practical background with monitoring solutions like Datadog or Prometheus
