Requirements
- Six-plus years spanning analytics or data engineering, product analytics plumbing or software engineering work
- Minimum three years personally responsible for instrumentation and tracking work
- History of creating an event classification scheme and tracking blueprint from zero, then getting engineering teams to use it
- Practical use of event-collection or customer-data platforms, plus analytics tools like Segment, Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog or GA4
- Production-grade coding in one language from TypeScript, JavaScript, Kotlin, Swift, PHP, Go or Python
- Advanced SQL and day-to-day dbt use, including modelling heavy event streams in a columnar warehouse
- Working knowledge of streaming systems, including delivery guarantees, idempotency, deduplication and late-arriving events
- Work done on server-side tagging, consent tooling and the legal framework for privacy
- A well-reasoned stance on linking identities, grouping sessions and joining data across platforms
- Skill at persuading developers you do not manage, and strong written communication
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Arabic
- Experience working in the GCC
- Background in online retail, marketplaces, fintech or shared-tenancy software
- Depth in mobile tracking: device SDKs, attribution of installs, deep-link handling and offline queuing
