  • Enhance application performance, reliability, observability, and developer tools via profiling, instrumentation, and technical debt reduction.
  • Drive technical leadership across the Pick & Deliver organization by guiding design discussions, mentoring engineers, and establishing best practices.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience with substantial background in developing and shipping Android applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin alongside practical experience with modern Android development methods such as Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and RxJava or equivalent reactive frameworks.
  • Demonstrated history of leading the technical execution of complex, cross-functional software projects from design through production launch.
  • Experience in designing maintainable Android architectures and optimizing application performance, reliability, testing, monitoring, or observability.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, iOS Engineering, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for clarifying technical decisions and managing stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

  • Experience building mobile products for retail, logistics, fulfillment, delivery, workforce, or other operational environments.
  • Background supporting multiple product teams, retailers, markets, or high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Android performance profiling, app startup optimization, crash reduction, instrumentation, or large-scale observability.
  • Experience contributing to mobile platform strategies, shared components, developer tooling, or migrations to modern Android technologies.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction across teams without direct authority.
