Job Description
GitLab operates an intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps, helping organizations boost developer productivity, enhance operational efficiency, decrease security and compliance risks, and speed up digital transformation. The company seeks a Staff Backend Engineer for its Developer Experience group to collaborate cross-functionally and eliminate friction points affecting internal engineering teams. This role suits an experienced engineer who possesses deep technical knowledge in developer tooling, DevEx platforms, and testing frameworks. The selected candidate will set and execute roadmaps for Kubernetes workflows, define reusable deployment patterns, ensure deterministic environment deployments, and guide peers through technical choices. GitLab maintains a high-performance culture that values AI integration into daily workflows, transparency, iteration, and collaboration. Employment is offered on a full-time basis.
