In this position, you will operate at the core of the platform to improve reliability, speed, and architecture while addressing complex challenges that span multiple internal teams. Responsibilities
- Drive improvements for enterprise-grade retail software at scale
- Establish technical direction and architecture choices to guide system evolution

- Design unified solutions across different organizational teams
- Mentor and support the professional growth of other engineers
- Plan, estimate, and de-risk major initiatives by breaking them down into manageable steps
Requirements
- Extensive background in building and operating production systems at large scale
- Hands-on background in at least one modern backend stack
- Proficiency in designing scalable data models across relational and non-relational storage
- Routine use of LLMs for troubleshooting, planning, code review, and development tasks
- Familiarity with an agentic-first operating environment
Qualifications
- Prior background within the cannabis sector
- Experience developing point of sale, e-commerce, payment systems, or other retail commerce technology
- Background in building and monitoring cloud-native infrastructure on AWS
