Twilio is currently seeking a Staff Mobile Engineer (P4) to join the Stytch team remotely within the United States or Canada. In this position, you will help scale core identity and fraud products, bringing these capabilities to the entire customer base of Twilio. The role operates similarly to a startup environment backed by a large enterprise, giving you the chance to design developer-first identity solutions, authentication flows, and agentic identity use cases.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced mobile developer who excels in ambiguity, takes deep technical ownership, and wants to build mobile SDKs that collect device signals and stop malicious actors. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mobile software development kits for identity and fraud detection platforms
- Collect complex device signals to identify malicious actors and ship new authentication surfaces
- Partner with engineering and product leadership to establish direction and translate customer needs into roadmap features
- Collaborate across multiple internal teams to align on architecture and integrate platform features
- Author design documents, oversee technical decisions, review code, and maintain production systems
- Enhance production reliability through observability, remediation, and incident response
- Mentor fellow engineers through pair programming, constructive feedback, and knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Minimum of six years of professional mobile engineering background building and maintaining mobile applications
- Android development experience with fluency in either Java or Kotlin
- Familiarity with mobile frameworks, ecosystems, and third-party libraries
- Strong grasp of software engineering best practices, maintainable systems, monitoring, and observability
- Demonstrated history of making high-impact technical decisions and leading initiatives
- Capability to communicate and align stakeholders effectively
- Availability to handle non-standard on-call duties including weekend and holiday hours
