Staff Product Designer - Money Movement

Wise is hiring a full-time Staff Product Designer for its Receive team in London, a role listed as on-site. The designer will be the top-level designer on the Receive squad and has a reporting line to the Money Movement design director. The Receive team aims to make getting paid simple for anyone, by any method and in any market, and the role serves personal, business and platform customers.

The designer owns the hardest design problems in Receive from start to finish, sets the quality bar for the squad's craft through hands-on work, and shapes the design strategy with a clear view of the now, next and future. The work supports a company goal of doubling the volume customers bring into Wise by the end of 2027, through adoption, retention and acceptance. Three areas take most of the attention. Comprehension means people can find their details and understand what a feature offers without asking for help. Trust means experiences are stable enough to depend on for income, and clear enough to repair and recover from problems. Systems means many currencies and payment methods, including alias networks such as PIX and UPI, combine into a single, consistent experience. The designer builds first-hand knowledge of how individuals and companies receive money around the world, uses AI where it proves useful, and lifts design quality across the squad through feedback, critiques and skill-sharing.

The posting looks for someone who has been the leading designer on a complicated product surface and owned ambiguous problems end to end. Candidates should have designed for many markets, formats and edge cases without fragmenting the product, and helped define metrics and see them move. A habit of prototyping, exploring several approaches and explaining trade-offs to senior stakeholders is expected, along with a high craft bar, strong visual skills and experience with design systems that scale.
