In this position, you will act as a primary technical voice within the Fulfillment and Pharmacy Engineering Front End team. Responsibilities include defining architecture roadmaps, establishing coding standards, guiding engineers through mentorship and pair programming, and integrating AI tools into development cycles while keeping patient safety in mind. You will collaborate daily with product managers, designers, engineering leaders, and various teams to build scalable cloud-based applications.
This role suits an experienced technologist with over a decade of software engineering background who can handle complex architectures, navigate ambiguous situations with clarity, and independently prioritize competing projects. The position offers a salary range between USD 190,000 and 230,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Lead front end system architecture for scalable and high-performance applications
- Define multi-quarter technical roadmaps for pharmacy and fulfillment systems
- Establish consistent coding standards, patterns, and development best practices
- Integrate AI tools into engineering workflows safely and effectively
- Mentor team members through pair programming and thorough documentation
- Collaborate with design teams to build engaging user experiences
- Conduct code reviews and execute performance optimization initiatives
Requirements
- Possess over ten years of software engineering experience
- Demonstrate a track record of setting front end technical direction across multiple teams
- Show proven proficiency in cloud-based web applications, HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks like React, React Native, NextJs, and TypeScript
- Bring familiarity with back-end technologies including Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, and Redis
- Have hands-on experience with CI/CD and monitoring tools such as Datadog, GitHub actions, and Circle CI
- Utilize AI tools directly within real engineering workflows
