The chosen candidate will architect systems that elevate platform capabilities, improve developer experiences, and guide engineering excellence.
This position suits an experienced technologist who can balance deep technical execution with broader organizational influence. Responsibilities include building scalable and clean code, resolving architectural disputes across multiple teams, guiding product features alongside product managers, and mentoring senior engineers. The role also involves constructing evaluation infrastructure such as golden datasets, multi-turn testing suites, and drift detection mechanisms.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI-Native product development strategies
- Produce clean, scalable, and reusable code while enforcing architectural standards
- Lead multi-team technical initiatives and resolve architectural conflicts
- Own codebases from initial design through testing and deployment
- Collaborate with product managers to define customer-focused feature sets
- Lead architecture and code reviews while mentoring senior engineers
- Build evaluation infrastructure including golden datasets, multi-turn suites, and drift detection
- Determine appropriate use cases and guardrails for artificial intelligence in engineering workflows
- Make technical trade-offs involving latency, cost, scalability, reliability, and model quality
- Evaluate and recommend emerging AI and machine learning frameworks
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience
- At least 3 years of hands-on work with LLM prompting, agent design, and retrieval systems
- Experience integrating LLM APIs including tool calling and structured-output enforcement
- Experience building and debugging evaluation harnesses and metrics for AI features
- Working knowledge of embeddings, vector stores, and probabilistic system failure modes
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, Python, and Java
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and design patterns
- Front-end experience with modern frameworks like React, Lit, Angular, or Vue
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, containers, observability, and on-call duties
- Demonstrated mentorship capabilities and a history of code review leadership
