Job Description
This full-time Transfer Pricing Manager role at Monzo is based in London, though distributed working around the UK, with occasional London meetings, is also allowed. Monzo is a UK bank that has grown from a prepaid card into personal and business accounts, credit cards and savings products. The manager sits within the Group Tax squad and reports directly to the International Tax and Transfer Pricing Lead, owning transfer pricing operations, policies and paperwork from start to finish.
The work covers preparing and updating Master File, Local File and CbCR sets for every country where Monzo operates. They help shape intercompany pricing rules that back growth, product launches and overseas expansion. Working with Legal, Finance and Treasury, the role checks that intercompany contracts match the economics and that day-to-day transfer pricing calculations and true-ups are accurate.
The manager also supports European expansion and other cross-border structuring projects alongside the International Tax Manager and the International Tax and Transfer Pricing Lead. The job also means being the point person for tax authority queries and audits on transfer pricing, plus offering plain-language guidance to Business, Finance and Product staff.
Applicants should hold a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA or ACCA) or an advisory credential (CTA, ADIT or similar), and should bring deep transfer pricing technical knowledge. The posting encourages applications from people moving directly out of professional practice at large or specialist transfer pricing firms, as well as those with in-house experience. Working autonomously, taking a hands-on approach and explaining complex transfer pricing ideas to non-tax colleagues are important. Pay is listed at £77,300 to £95,000 depending on experience, with an incentive award tied to performance.
