Tether.io is currently searching for a remote VP of Tech Expansion to spearhead the global adoption of its technology portfolio. Operating in digital finance, stablecoins, AI, peer-to-peer systems, sustainable energy solutions, and digital infrastructure, the company offers a lean, distributed work environment with a global talent powerhouse. In this executive position, you will report directly to the Chief Expansion Officer and take charge of scaling current and future technology verticals across international markets.
This hands-on leadership role is ideal for an experienced business development and technology executive who can build relationships with high-level stakeholders, including CEOs, CTOs, CIOs, and government officials. You will be responsible for negotiating major partnerships, translating complex needs into scalable products, and directing senior professionals across global teams. The position requires international travel and an ability to navigate fast-moving environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement the international expansion strategy for the technology ecosystem
- Identify high-potential markets, industry sectors, and strategic partners
- Engage directly with chief executives, government leaders, and enterprise decision-makers to close major partnerships
- Translate partner demands into clear direction for product and engineering groups
- Oversee senior professionals and regional teams while establishing performance metrics and KPIs
- Represent the organization at global conferences and industry forums as a technology ambassador
Requirements
- More than 12 years of professional background in enterprise technology, digital assets, fintech, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, or technology business development
- Demonstrated history of securing major enterprise or government technology agreements
- Extensive leadership experience overseeing senior professionals and cross-border teams
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline
- MBA degree
- Professional proficiency in three or more languages
