Job Description
Motive seeks a Vice President of SMB Sales & Account Management to lead a large-scale, global inside sales and account management division. The company builds software and hardware tools that enhance the safety, efficiency, and financial management of physical operations for nearly 100,000 clients across multiple sectors, including transportation, construction, and agriculture.
This executive position involves driving digital transformation by blending human talent with automated workflows, AI integration, and product-led growth strategies. The chosen leader will oversee global frontline teams primarily located in Pakistan, managed through directors based in Austin, and will focus on stabilizing churn, expanding multi-product cross-sell attach rates, and modernizing the go-to-market engine.

The role requires willingness to travel up to three weeks per quarter to regional hubs and international offices, and applicants must be authorized to access U.S. Export Administration Regulations controlled technologies.
Responsibilities
- Modernize high-volume go-to-market operations by embedding AI automation and self-service tools throughout the customer journey

- Partner with marketing and product teams to implement usage-based automated customer lifecycle triggers
- Scale repeatable playbooks for attaching secondary products like AI Dashcam Plus and telematics safety suites to increase average deal values
- Overhaul renewal and billing workflows to reduce friction and improve customer sentiment
- Collaborate with business development on monetization strategies such as embedded commercial insurance partnerships
Requirements
- Have at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in sales, account management, or post-sales functions
- Demonstrate a track record of directing large-headcount, distributed inside organizations across global hubs
- Show expertise in utilizing AI, automation, and product telemetry for high-volume operations
- Possess operational background in post-sales, customer retention, churn reduction, and expansion within B2B SaaS or IoT sectors
- Maintain the ability to travel up to three weeks per quarter to international centers and regional hubs in San Francisco, Austin, and Nashville
- Be authorized to receive and access commodities and technologies controlled under U.S. Export Administration Regulations
