Job Description
This full-time, on-site role at Wise, which describes its mission as building money without borders, is listed as Workplace Adviser. The posting describes the job as Workplace Venue Specialist, and the listing gives London as the location. The role owns the day-to-day delivery and logistics for events in the company's on-site spaces and reports to the Workplace Operations Manager.
The venue specialist keeps the master calendar of bookings, resolves conflicts using clear prioritization rules, and checks that event briefs cover layout, AV, access, catering, timing and cleaning reset before approval. The posting says the team averages more than ten events a week across two main spaces: one auditorium-style room holding over 200 people, and a flexible room of 145 that can split into three areas of 30 to 50 people each. A 45-person training room is also in use. The role runs the event support helpdesk and its service levels, coordinates with IT and AV, security, facilities and external caterers, and handles live issues during events.
The role also leads an on-site porter team, covering scheduling, coaching and performance management, and plans how the team will grow as a new building opens. The posting suits someone who has run venues, handled workplace or event logistics, or worked in hospitality, who stays calm under pressure and is comfortable moving regularly across buildings.

- Confirm that layout, AV, access, catering, timing and cleaning reset are settled before approval

- Manage and improve the event support helpdesk, its request workflows and service-level tracking

- Make real-time decisions during live events to limit any impact on attendees
- Keep operational playbooks and checklists current for recurring event formats
- Lead the porter team through planning, task allocation, peak coverage, and training on safe set-ups and standards
- Ensure health and safety, fire rules and capacity limits are met, including split-room configurations
- Coordinate with cleaning vendors and facilities to reset rooms to standard after events
Requirements

- Comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders and organizers, making sensible decisions when pressed, and drawing firm service limits
- Ability to coordinate with AV teams and troubleshoot basic technical issues
