Responsibilities
- Drive revenue and retain users to meet or exceed performance targets and KPIs
- Lead discussions with large existing and prospective clients
- Contribute to go-to-market playbooks alongside product, marketing, sales, and technical services stakeholders
- Articulate the value propositions of Stripe Tax to C-suite executives, financial departments, technical teams, and partners
- Develop familiarity with global indirect tax requirements of prospective clients
- Build and maintain client relationships while guiding them through sales and implementation processes
- Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and customer success teams to foster long-term client growth
- Stay informed on industry trends regarding data, analytics, and reporting to uncover opportunities
- Pursue expansion opportunities with current Stripe Tax users to encourage adoption of additional compliance tools
- Lead renewal conversations with existing users based on their evolving business needs
- Address outstanding questions proactively to help users go live quickly
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of sales or prospecting experience at a technology company with a track record of top performance
- Experience holding a direct sales quota, closing new business, or expanding existing accounts
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative working relationships with business partners
- Capacity to act as a self-starter who drives results without significant supervision
- An enthusiastic roll up your sleeves mentality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation capabilities for in-person meetings with diverse stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements
- Capability to understand complex technical requirements and formulate solutions
Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience specifically selling financial services or similar software
