Job Description
Instacart is recruiting a remote, full-time Account Manager to support its advertising products for consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands and their agencies. The posting labels the position an Account Manager II role. Its purpose is to strengthen campaign results, broaden the range of ad products brands buy, and keep clients returning.
The person in this job becomes a go-to adviser for CPG clients and agency partners. Working alongside the sales team, they learn each advertiser's goals and map out growth plans. A large share of the work means studying campaign figures and marketplace trends, then recommending where budget should go and how campaigns can be tuned. The role follows progress toward targets across several business units and keeps full-funnel media plans aligned with each brand's objectives.
Beyond analysis, the role leads quarterly reviews in which performance findings become a clear account narrative, encourages clients to act on optimization and upsell suggestions, and settles campaign and partner problems with minimal supervision. It also relays client pain points to product and operations teams and runs initiatives that lift the wider group.
The posting describes a fast-moving workplace where priorities keep shifting. It suits a candidate who thinks analytically, puts clients first, is comfortable influencing senior leaders, and can make complicated numbers easy to follow. Base pay is tied to where the employee permanently works, and the position includes a sales incentive plan and eligibility for equity grants.
