Job Description
Instacart is hiring a remote AI Solutions Lead for its Marketing team. Candidates must live in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia or Nova Scotia, since the company is only hiring for this role in those Canadian provinces. Instacart runs a grocery delivery service that customers rely on for food and household items, and it provides flexible earnings to the personal shoppers who fulfill orders. The company gives staff flexibility over where they work and holds regular in-person gatherings.
This is the first position of its kind inside Marketing. The lead's main task is to find slow, manual or disconnected processes across the function and rebuild them with AI, then ship the new version and measure the difference. Early projects named in the posting include automating the recurring leadership and planning narratives that Marketing produces, streamlining the integrated campaign launch process from ideation to go-live, and adding an AI review step that checks campaign briefs before they move downstream. The lead would also run an intake process that scores requests and decides what to build next, and would be expected to decline low-value work.
Roughly 60 percent of the time goes to building, 20 percent to driving adoption through change management, internal case studies and demonstrations, and 20 percent to orchestration, including leading the MarComms AI key results forum and helping goal owners clear blockers. Candidates need seven or more years in marketing operations, strategy or a closely adjacent area, and a record of shipping AI-powered workflows with measurable results. Daily work with leading AI assistants like Claude, GPT-4o or Gemini is expected, along with experience building agent-style systems that operate with limited human involvement. The person must communicate clearly with audiences ranging from individual contributors to CMO-level leaders. Evaluating AI vendors through comparison pilots is a preferred extra. For Canadian candidates the posted base pay is CAN$126,000 to CAN$133,000, and the role qualifies for a new-hire equity grant plus annual refresh grants.
