Responsibilities
- Co-own the technical roadmap and direct architecture for reusable, scalable systems
- Extend off-platform integrations and build measurement ingestion for reach, frequency and conversions
- Strengthen cleanroom orchestration and governance, including multi-cleanroom support and policy controls
- Lead automation for taxonomy intake and release processes
- Help modernize the platform and improve developer tooling
- Promote designs that bake in security, data governance and privacy compliance
- Mentor engineers up to L5 and set code review standards
- Use AI tools every day and document shared prompting approaches for the team
- Build partnerships with ads, measurement, data platform and privacy and legal teams
Requirements
- Eight-plus years building large-scale backend or data systems, with cross-team leadership
- Python plus Ruby or Go; REST or gRPC services; third-party API integration
- dbt, Airflow, Spark or Databricks pipelines, plus SQL optimization at an advanced level
- Snowflake, AWS, cost-conscious design, workflow orchestration and event-driven patterns
- Ad-tech and measurement integrations, cleanrooms and identity matching
- Working knowledge of GDPR and CCPA in data workflows
- CI/CD, containers, test strategy and observability with SLO awareness
- Recent practical use of AI-assisted coding tools, with judgment on when AI fits versus deterministic systems
- Clear technical writing and stakeholder management
