Job Description
This full-time, on-site marketing post in Pune concentrates on offline, street-level brand activation tied to Swiggy's launch. The assistant manager maps out the below-the-line plan and selects dense zones where the target audience lives, travels and buys.
Work includes creating and running unusual marketing stunts meant to build broad early awareness, and designing repeatable street programs such as hyper-local referral points, society-wide subscription pushes and neighborhood sampling. The role owns the entire campaign cycle, from scouting and haggling with vendors through to fabrication, promoter briefing and post-event audits. It also gives creative direction on point-of-sale displays and activation sets so they match the brand's look.
The manager runs a large offline budget with an eye on cost per trial and cost per acquisition, proves the return on offline spend with figures, and collects field observations on pricing, packaging and rival moves for the product and go-to-market teams.
The ideal candidate has three to five years in below-the-line, rural or experiential marketing, a history of offline growth efforts, and established ties with agencies and fabricators in large cities and smaller urban centers. People from telecom, FMCG or payment apps who have run big ground activations are favored.
