This role suits a quality assurance professional with a strong background in test automation who can simultaneously take ownership of manual testing processes. The incoming engineer will focus heavily on desktop and mobile applications, ensuring high software standards across multiple device types. Responsibilities
- Construct and maintain automated test coverage for critical user paths on mobile and desktop platforms.
- Incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines while maintaining speed and reliability.
- Analyze failures, resolve unstable tests, and oversee test environments and data.
- Document reproducible software bugs and confirm subsequent fixes.
- Collaborate with product and development teams regarding testability and acceptance criteria.
- Execute manual, exploratory, and functional testing for new features.
- Determine appropriate manual versus automated coverage based on risk and maintain regression test suites.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in QA automation combined with practical manual and exploratory testing background.
- Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript programming.
- Familiarity with executing tests inside CI/CD workflows like GitHub Actions.
- Practical experience utilizing Playwright for web or desktop alongside WebdriverIO and Appium for mobile environments.
- Background in testing React Native or Electron applications on actual iOS and Android devices.
- Experience applying AI tools within QA and critically analyzing their results.
