Job Description
The Brand Design Lead leads design for Motive's Brand Studio, the team that expresses the company's brand across campaigns, product storytelling and always-on brand systems. The role is hybrid, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and sets the creative standard for work that has to stay consistent across regions and formats.
The lead manages and mentors designers spread across the United States, Mexico and Pakistan. The job is hands-on as well as managerial. It involves creative direction for campaigns and activations, developing and selling concepts to marketing leaders and executives, and setting design standards, feedback routines and growth paths for the team.
The lead also helps Brand Studio operate at global scale. That means building design systems, reference kits and written guidance that let teams move faster without weakening the brand, and assessing AI-assisted workflows for ideation, localization and production. The lead partners with Product Design, Marketing Operations and Content teams so creative work fits the wider marketing process.
The posting is full-time and asks for at least seven years in graphic, brand or creative roles, including two years leading designers. It emphasizes a strong portfolio across identity, brand systems and campaign work, and a Figma-first approach. The United States compensation range is $171,000 to $236,000 USD.
