Job Description
This PointClickCare opening is titled for Canada, though the role is remote for people living in North America, with its base office in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is an entry-level sales development position that supports a Senior Sales Executive and works alongside the wider sales organisation, Sales Operations, Product and Marketing teams. The company says its technology serves more than 30,000 provider organisations.
The principal duty is lining up appointments with prospective customers for the VP of Sales, many of whom have never heard of PointClickCare. The work also includes building knowledge of healthcare, investigating prospects, creating a targeted outreach plan with the VP, and phoning or emailing leaders such as ED medical directors and CMOs. The SDR assembles research before each meeting, arranges follow-ups, logs performance information, and handles scheduling and administrative tasks for the VP.
Targets are tracked every week, month and quarter based on the meetings and appointments set. Special projects may come up. In-office gatherings, including onboarding, team activities and team meetings held twice a year and once a year, require travel to Mississauga or Salt Lake City.
Applicants need a bachelor-level education or equivalent experience, customer service background and teamwork experience. Sales or fundraising experience is a listed qualification. Strong written and phone communication, a track record of hitting goals and attention to detail are important. The posting gives US pay on target of $62,000 to $71,000, combining base salary and commissions, plus benefits, and does not state a separate Canadian range. Benefits start on day one and include retirement matching, flexible paid time off, parental and caregiver leave and a continuous development program.
