PointClickCare is hiring a Technical Program Manager for its Technical Services group on an eight-month remote contract. The manager reports to the Senior Manager, Technical Services and concentrates on Data Migration projects, including scheduling, capacity forecasting, delivery governance and go-live preparation.
The manager serves as the central contact among the Sales group, PMs, the resourcing function and delivery engineers. Duties include handling new project intake, setting priorities and coordinating delivery, forecasting demand and staffing, and tracking portfolio risks and dependencies. When issues arise, the manager leads mitigation and escalation, keeps schedules, dashboards and metrics current, and runs post-project reviews and root cause analyses.
The posting also expects the manager to seek efficiency gains with AI-enabled helpers, such as agent-based assistants, copilot tools and smart workflow automation for scheduling, reporting, capacity planning and knowledge sharing. Governance, security, privacy and responsible AI rules must be respected in that work.
Candidates should have run projects with customers, ideally in SaaS, healthcare IT or other delivery-focused settings. Working knowledge of data migration methods, ETL work, data integration and systems design is important, and experience with EHR, EMR or pharmacy systems is a strength.
Responsibilities
- Organize go-live preparation and execution for Data Migration work with project managers and engineers
- Be the go-to contact for incoming requests, timetable planning, ranking of work and delivery coordination
- Forecast demand and staffing, and balance capacity against delivery commitments
- Watch portfolios for risks, issues and dependencies and escalate as needed
- Keep requests, timelines, dashboards, metrics and documents current
- Run post-project reviews and root cause work to improve delivery
- Evaluate and roll out AI-enabled tools for planning, reporting and decision-making
- Make sure all automation follows governance, security and responsible AI practices
Requirements
- Background in technical program, project or operations management
- Experience running schedules, delivery commitments and stakeholder updates in a customer-facing setting
- Grasp of capacity planning, resource forecasting and performance metrics
- Knowledge of data migration approaches, ETL, integration and systems design
- Practical use of planning software like JIRA, Kimble, Smartsheet or Confluence
- Experience applying generative AI, copilots or intelligent automation to business processes
- Communication, negotiation and stakeholder skills with strong analysis
Qualifications
- Familiarity with clinical software, including electronic health and medical record platforms and pharmacy tools
- Practical work with Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform and Azure AI, or with OpenAI and Claude models
- Background building AI agents or bots that automate workflows, including assistant-style tools
- Familiarity with Databricks, Azure Data Lake or enterprise reporting platforms
- PMP, Agile, Scrum or related certification
